Nothing is wasted

Hey beautiful ladies, I was listening to a CD I received from visiting Elevation Church (an amazing church located in Charlotte NC) this morning and there was one verse in a song that stood out to me. I wanted to share it with all of you, and it was that "Nothing is wasted...You [God] works all things for good." My mind immediately went back to a television show that I was watching a couple of weeks ago called Alaska: The Last Frontier. In this show it displays how a family survives living off the land in Alaska; preparing in the summer for the harsh winter to come. In one particular episode a cow was slaughtered, aside from this being a unique experience altogether one aspect that intrigued me the most was that nothing was wasted. They used every part of the cow from the cow hide to its intestines, which were dumped into the ground and would eventually become fertilizer for the garden. Parts that you wouldn't think were useable or were too disgusting to think about aided the family in their survival supported them....everything was worked for the good.

Now think about your life,  and your past... and just take in that EVERYTHING works for the good. As I look back over my life, I see mistakes, hard times, and disgusting events that took place. At the time, and even now, its hard to imagine that even that can be worked for my good and for others as well. But just as the family in the television show used every part of the cow, God can use every part of us. Nothing is or will be wasted. The loss of your virginity out of wedlock, your infidelity, your struggles, your illnesses, and anything that looks like destruction instead of construction God can redeem and help to deepen your relationship with Him, help you to empower others who are struggling with the same issue(s), and let you know that He is always there no matter where life takes you.

So don't be saddened if some event in your life looks like it caused a gapping whole within your spiritual nature, or created some structure that seems as if it will bury you or prevent you from moving forward in your relationship with Christ. It will not be wasted. Trust that He can use every area to propel your forward and make that seemingly disgusting issue support and aid you on your journey. It may take some time to realize this and walk it out, but focus on your father, and realign your purpose to match His. You will eventually see beauty and His workings in your life. Cling to Him, love Him, worship Him, build a relationship with Him. He will show you that he is the ultimate recycler.

Remember God loves you dearly...unfold your wings and soar to Him today. Love you all!!
